how much time do i need to dedicate?
The roster will be drawn up weekly and members will submit their available hours to the roster manager by a certain deadline each week. This allows members to choose their hours weekly. A member can carry out many shifts throughout the month but we ask that volunteer responders cover at least 1 shift per week. Shifts are 6 or 12 hours long and require that the member doesn't leave the coverage area when on call.
Morning Shift: 7AM - 1PM, Afternoon Shift: 1PM - 7PM, Night Shift: 7PM - 7AM.
In addition, re-current training to keep members fresh will be carried out once a month and it is necessary that members attend at least 6 of these sessions annually to keep their skills current and remain on call.
