25 members of the public who have signed up to become voluntary Community First Responders for the town of Tralee completed their PHECC Cardiac First Responder (Community) level course on Saturday 16th April.
The building was kindly provided by the Irish Wheelchair Association and the training was provided by the Tralee branch of the Irish Red Cross.
The day was thoroughly enjoyable and highly interactive. There was a morning and an afternoon class. This is the first step for the applicants in becoming a CFR. Another session to train the remainder of applicants will be held shortly. From here, members will begin weekly training sessions on their call types, communications, CISM, map reading and more.
Well done to all those who completed the course and thanks again to the IWA and Tralee branch of the Irish Red Cross.
