On Friday 20th November, Bank of Ireland staff at the Castle Street branch in Tralee handed over a Defibtech defibrillator to Tralee Community Responders in support of the work that the scheme intends to carry out.
Fundraised by Bank of Ireland staff nationally and coordinated by Darren Mulligan of Bank of Ireland, we were delighted to hear that Bank of Ireland wished to donate a defibrillator to us.
This is the second year in a row that Bank of Ireland staff have chosen to donate defibrillators to CFR schemes nationally and it is a great cause to choose.
Tralee Branch Manager Frank Shaw, Sales Manager Hugh Gleeson and other branch staff were on hand to present the defibrillator to Scheme Coordinator for the Tralee Community Responders, Sean Horgan.
Commenting on the handover Sean commented that "We are delighted to receive this defibrillator for the Tralee Community Responders. Not only will this speed up our process of going live with the National Ambulance Service but it will also be a life saving piece of equipment used in the Tralee area to save lives, and we are very grateful to Bank of Ireland for choosing us".
The defibrillator will be on show at the public meeting taking place on Thursday 26th November at 7.30PM in The Brandon Hotel, Tralee.
